Command Master Chief (AW/SW) Edward P. Bazile is a native of New York, and raised in the borough of Queens. In June 1997, he graduated from Springfield Gardens high school and enlisted in the United States Navy October 23, 1997. Upon completion of Basic Training Command, Great Lakes Illinois, he reported to Seaman Apprentice School, also in Great Lakes.

Master Chief Bazile served as a boatswain's mate and plank owner aboard the USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) from January 1998 to September 2002. He deployed 24 January to 24 July 2000 where the ship made the first Western Pacific (WESTPAC) deployment of any U.S. Navy ship in the 2000s as part of Operation Southern Watch. He also deployed a part of Operation Enduring Freedom from 1 December 2001 to 18 June 2002.

Following completion of his first sea tour Master Chief Bazile reported to Navy Recruiting District Los Angeles, California, from January 2003 to December 2006. He converted to Navy Career Counselor (Career Recruiting Force) June 2005 and was meritoriously advanced to Petty Officer First Class July 2005.

Master Chief Bazile reported to Navy Recruiting District Chicago, Illinois, from March 2007 to March 2010. During his tour he was selected to Chief Petty Officer August 2008. He served as the Division Leading Chief Petty Officer of all Navy Recruiting Stations assigned to the south side of Chicago.

Master Chief Bazile reported to Navy Recruiting District, San Francisco, California from May 2010 to March 2013. During his tour he served as the Division Leading Chief Petty Officer of Navy Recruiting stations assigned to the east of the San Francisco bay (Greater Oakland area).

For his non-production Recruiting tour Master Chief Bazile reported to Navy Recruiting Command, Millington, Tennessee from June 2013 to July 2015 as a National Trainer and Inspector (N7). June 2013 he was selected to Senior Chief Petty Officer. 

Master Chief Bazile reported as the Enlisted Assistant Chief Recruiter of Navy Recruiting District Richmond, Virginia from August 2015 to September 2017. He managed and supervised 150 recruiters in Southern Maryland, Northern Virginia, West Virginia region and Southern Virginia. He was responsible for recruiter and quota distribution and the use of all available resources to attain enlisted recruiting and shipping mission objectives. February 2017 he was selected into the Command Senior Enlisted Leader program.

Master Chief Bazile reported to Cooperative Security Location Comalapa, El Salvador from October 2017 to August 2018 as the Command Senior Chief. He served as the Command Senior Chief for permanently assigned military personnel and forward deployed United States aviation units participating in Joint Interagency Task Force South assigned counter-illicit trafficking operations, 4th fleet directed humanitarian missions and SAR efforts. May 2018, he was selected to Master Chief Petty Officer.

Master Chief Bazile reported to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron TWELVE (HSC-12) Atsugi, Japan as the Command Master Chief from September 2018 to March 2021. He deployed 3 times in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region with his squadron a part of Carrier Strike group FIVE (Battle Force Seventh Fleet CTF-70) onboard the USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76).

Currently, Master Chief Bazile is the Command Master Chief of the USS New Orleans (LPD-18).

Master Chief Bazile is qualified to wear the Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist (EAWS) and Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist (ESWS) insignia. His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (six awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards) and various unit, service, and campaign decorations.

Master Chief Bazile graduated from the Senior Enlisted Academy, Class BC 56 (Silver) in December 2014, and Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat (CMC/COB) course (Class 177) in September 2017.
