Cmdr. Erin N. Connor, a native of Pickerington, Ohio, earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the Ohio State University and commissioned as an ensign in 2005. She holds a Master’s of Arts in Systems Analysis from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Master’s of Arts in Public Policy and Administration from Northwestern University.

At sea, Connor’s sea duty assignments include tours on USS Tulsa (LCS 16) Gold Crew as the executive officer; Task Force 65 as the chief staff officer and future operations officer; USS The Sullivans (DDG 68) as the operations officer; and USS Hue City (CG 66) as the navigator, assistant operations officer, and combat information center officer.

Ashore, she was an operations analyst for afloat force generation and readiness for the director of assessments (OPNAV N81); the deputy executive assistant for the deputy chief of naval operations for integration of capabilities and resources (OPNAV N8); a naval science instructor at Duke University Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps; and a placement officer at the Naval Service Training Command officer development directorate. 

Connor is currently the commanding officer of USS Tulsa (LCS 16) Gold Crew.

Her personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (one award), the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), the Navy Achievement Medal (two awards), and various unit, campaign, and service medals and ribbons.
