LCDR Angelina “Angie” Violante, was raised in Stratford, Connecticut and graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy Class of 2010 with a B.S. in General Science. She also completed distance learning JPME Phase I.

Her previous sea tours were onboard USS RUSHMORE (LSD 47) as the Machinery Division Officer during a C5F deployment and USS DECATUR (DDG 73) as the Training Officer during several 3rd, 4th, and 7th Fleet operations. After her Division Officer tours, LCDR Violante participated in the Personnel Exchange Program (PEP) in the United Kingdom serving as the First Lieutenant (Second in Command) aboard HMS SEVERN patrolling the North Atlantic, English Channel, and North Sea. Upon returning from England, she reported to her first Department Head tour onboard USS O'KANE (DDG 77) as the Operations Officer for a WESTPAC deployment, RIMPAC, and PAC DRAGON. During her second Department Head Tour, LCDR Violante served as the Plans & Tactics Officer onboard USS FITZGERALD (DDG 62) where she was part of the team that brought the Fightin' Fitz back to sea, sailing from Pascagoula, MS to San Diego, CA and up through the Basic and Advanced Phases. 

Ashore she served as the N3 and N5 at Surface Development Squadron ONE working to advance the DDG 1000 Class and Unmanned Surface Vessels programs.

LCDR Violante’s personal decorations, medals, campaign, and service awards are all due to the hard work and dedication of the great Sailors she has been fortunate to serve with.
