USS Daniel Inouye Visits Big Island

221021-N-OA516-1145 KAILUA-KONA, HAWAII (Oct. 21, 2022) – A Hawaii-Traditional Hawaiian canoe returns to shore after meeting the Arleigh-Burke class guided-missile destroyer USS Daniel Inouye (DDG 118), as the ship arrives in Kailua-Kona. The visit marks the first time that the destroyer, named after Medal of Honor recipient and former U.S. Senator Daniel K. Inouye, visited the island of Hawaii.
