The CO, XO, CMC, Officers, Chief Petty Officers, and Crew of Forward-deployed Naval Forces unit USS New Orleans (LPD 18) stand in the Upper Vehicle Stowage area of New Orleans and wish their friends and family a safe and happy holidays this season.

USS America (LHA 6) conducted a replenishment-at-sea May 22 in the western Pacific Ocean with Japan Maritime Self Defense Force supply ship JS Hamana (AOE 424).

USS New Orleans participates in ARC 21

SASEBO, Japan — San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS New Orleans (LPD 18) joins the Royal Australian Navy, French Armed Forces, Japan Self-Defense Forces and other U.S. Forces for exercise Jeanne D’Arc (ARC) 21, May 11.

USS New Orleans Changes Command

SASEBO, Japan – Capt. P. Scott Miller relinquished command of San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS New Orleans (LPD 18) to Capt. Brian Schrum during a ceremony in the ship’s well deck, July 14. Miller departed after leading New Orleans from the U.S. 3rd Fleet in San Diego to join the U.S. 7th Fleet in Sasebo, Japan, where they later embarked on their first voyage supporting operations as part of Forward-Deployed Naval Force-Japan.
