FORCE MASTER CHIEF (SW) ERIC W. PAGE, USN

Force Master Chief, Naval Surface Forces

 

Text Box:     Master Chief Page was born in Long Beach, California, in 1961.  He grew up in Arkansas, Texas, and California, and began his Navy career in April of 1980 by attending recruit training at Naval Training Center, San Diego, California.

 

Upon completion of Sonar Technician “A” School, Master Chief Page reported to his first ship, USS Morton (DD 948), home-ported in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.  He then served on USS Richard S. Edwards (DD 950), also out of Pearl Harbor, and USS Pledge (MSO 492) out of Seattle, Washington.  Master Chief Page transitioned to civilian life in April 1984.  In December 1985, he reenlisted and attended Sonar Technician “C” school at Fleet Anti-Submarine Warfare Training Center (FLEASWTRACEN) in Point Loma, California.  Upon completion of training, Master Chief Page reported to USS Schofield (FFG 3), home-ported in San Diego.  Subsequent tours of duty include: USS Cook (FF 1083), San Diego; Instructor duty at FLEASWTRACEN, Point Loma, California; USS Laboon (DDG 58), Norfolk, Virginia; Student Manager at FLEASWTRACEN, Point Loma, California; USS Fife (DD 991), Everett, Washington;  Command Master Chief, USS Germantown (LSD 42), San Diego; Command Master Chief, Assault Craft Unit Five, Camp Pendleton, California, and Force Master Chief, COMNAVSURFOR/PAC, Coronado, CA.

 

Master Chief Page is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Technical Management.  His personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, two Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, six Good Conduct Medals, and various Unit Medals and Awards. He is qualified Enlisted Surface Warfare and Master Training Specialist.  Master Chief Page is a graduate of the Navy's Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 106 Green, and he piloted the Navy's first Command Master Chief course.
