Senior Chief Robert B. Strupczewski hails from Runnemede, New Jersey. He enlisted in the Navy in June 2000, attending basic training at Recruit Training Center, Great Lakes, Illinois. He then attended advance electronics computer field tec-core school and fire controlman, “A” school. He is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 226 Gold) and a graduate of the Command Master Chief course (Class 20020).
His sea duty assignments include serving aboard USS Anzio (CG 68), USS Mason (DDG 87), and USS Gravely (DDG 107). 

Strupczewski’s shore tours include Naval Recruiting District Philadelphia and leading a Counter-Rocket, Artillery, and Mortar (CRAM) unit with Joint Task Force 1-174 Air Defense Artillery Brigade in Balad, Iraq. 
His current assignment is Command Senior Chief, USS Independence (LCS 2). 
Strupczewski’s personal decorations include the Navy Commendation Medal (two awards), the Army Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (eight awards), as well as various unit awards, campaign and service decorations.
