Senior Enlisted Leader, USS Omaha (LCS 12)

Command Senior Chief  Alberto Torres, a native of Queens, New York, enlisted in the Navy in December 1998. Following completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command, he reported to the USS Avenger (MCM 1) as an undesignated Seaman Recruit. Torres is a graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 217 Orange).
Torres’ sea duty assignments include USS Avenger (MCM 1); LCS Mine Warfare Mission Detachment 2; USS Champion (MCM 4); USS Devastator (MCM 6); and USS Gladiator (MCM 11). His most recent assignment was aboard the USS Scout (MCM 8), as the operations department leading chief petty officer. 

His shore duty assignments include Shore Intermediate Maintenance Activity (SIMA) in Ingleside, Texas; and Afloat Training Group (ATG) PACWEST in San Diego, California.
Torres is currently serving as the command senior chief aboard USS Omaha (LCS 12).  His personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
