Commander Brett Jasionowski received his commission after graduating from George Washington University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs.

CDR Jasionowski's afloat assignments include Auxiliaries and Electrical officer onboard USS LEYTE GULF (CG 55) based out of Norfolk, Virginia; Training Officer onboard USS SHILOH (CG 67) based out of Yokosuka, Japan; Engineer Officer onboard USS HOPPER (DDG 70) based out of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; Executive Officer and Commanding Officer, USS PIONEER (MCM 9) based out of Sasebo, Japan.

Ashore, CDR Jasionowski served as flag aide and action officer on the CNO's staff, Irregular Warfare Office and future concepts branch within OPNAV N3/N5. During his tenure he completed an 11-month Individual Augmentation assignment in Afghanistan conducting support missions for the ISAF Joint Command's Security Forces Assistance Teams. In 2019, CDR Jasionowski completed Intermediate Staff Officer Course and an Advanced Research Project Fellowship at the US Naval War College.

CDR Jasionowski's awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various other unit citations and campaign awards.
