Naval Beach Group's Amphibious Force Commemorate D-Day's 80th Anniversary

240606-N-NT811-1001 NAVAL BASE CORONADO (Jun. 6, 2024) - A Landing Craft, Air Cushioned (LCAC) from Assault Craft Unit 1 comes ashore on Green Beach at Naval Amphibious Base Coronado, carrying a Light Armored Vehicle (LAV-25) from Alpha Company 1st Combat Engineer Battalion Coronado. The landing was in preparation for a commemoration ceremony observing the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings on Jun. 6, 2024. Naval Beach Group One hosted the ceremony, which was attended by Sailors from Beachmaster Unit 1, Assault Craft Units 1 and 5, and Amphibious Seabee Battalion 1.
