Command Senior Chief, USS Cowpens (CG 63)

13 March 2024 Senior Chief Jackson is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. She received recruit training at Great Lakes Illinois in November 2000, and reported to ATD School at Great Lakes, Illinois, in January 2001.  Her first duty assignment was aboard USS NICHOLSON (DD 982) from February 2001 to November 2002.  

Her follow on duty assignments include USS DWIGHT D EISENHOWER (CVN 69) from November 2002 to November 2005, NAVCRUITDIST PHILADELPHIA from December 2005 to October 2008 where she was meritoriously advanced to First Class Petty Officer, USS GEORGE H W BUSH from October 2008 to November 2012, HELSEACOMBATRON TWO from December 2012 to November 2015 where she was selected to Chief Petty Officer, USS NITZE (DDG 94) from November 2015 to November 2018 where she was selected to Senior Chief Petty Officer.  She continued on as the Fleet Logistics Center Sigonella Site Rota Senior Enlisted Leader from December 2018 to January 2022.  

Senior Chief Jackson is qualified Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist.  She is a graduate from Columbia Southern University in 2014.
Her personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards); Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (eight awards); Good Conduct Medal (seven awards), Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal (MOVSM) (two awards) and numerous campaign and unit awards.
