CNSP Force Inspector General
Our mission is to inspect, investigate, or inquire into matters of fraud, waste, and mismanagement important to the Commander, Naval Surface Force.
Our vision is to be viewed as “the conscience of the Navy” – making a difference, adding value at ALL levels through proactive assistance, advice, and advocacy.
Our guiding principle is to support the Department of the Navy in maintaining the highest level of integrity and public confidence.
Your command should be your first point of contact if you are considering filing a complaint. You will save time by submitting your complaint to the lowest level in the chain of command.
If you are unable to resolve your issue using your chain of command, you may consider contacting the COMNAVSURFPAC IG. The IG will review your complaint to determine whether or not the issue is a matter for the COMNAVSURFPAC IG. The IG will acknowledge receipt of your complaint and tell you an investigation will be conducted or explain why your issue is not appropriate for investigation.
If you submit your complaint to the Department of Defense Inspector General (DoD IG), the Naval Inspector General (NAVIG) or the Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet Inspector General (CPF IG), your complaint normally will be forwarded to the COMNAVSURFPAC IG for investigation/inquiry. You will save a great deal of time by submitting your complaint directly to the COMNAVSURFPAC IG.
Before filing a complaint with the CNSP IG, there is a 4-Step Hotline complaint procedure to follow in order to determine if you should file a complaint.
Review the 4-Step Hotline Complaint Procedure.
