Command Master Chief Petty Officer Reece hails from Valdosta, Georgia and enlisted in the United States Navy in February 2000 where he completed Basic training in Great Lakes, Illinois. He began his career as an Operations Specialist and attended OS ‘A’ School in Dam Neck, VA. Selected as Command Senior Chief in 2021 and was selected for the Command Master Chief Program in 2023.
He has served in a myriad of sea duty assignments, including USS Kitty Hawk (CV63), USS Fitzgerald (DDG62), USS Antietam (CG54), USS Curtis Wilbur (DDG54), and most recently as the Command Master Chief onboard USS Shiloh (CG67).
His shore tours include detailing for PERS406 at Naval Personnel Command, staff duty at COMNAVEUR/NAVAF/C6F, and as the Command Senior Chief at AIRTEVRON 21 (HX21).
Master Chief Reece is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 217 (Khaki). He has been awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards), and various other personal and unit awards.
He assumed the duties as the Command Master Chief for USS Shiloh (CG 67) in April of 2023.
