Command Master Chief Anthony Traylor is a native of Mobile, Alabama. He enlisted in the US Navy in November 1999 under the Delay Entry Program as an Aviation Electronics Technician. He completed basic training at RTC Great Lakes, IL, in August 2000.

Throughout his career, CMDCM Traylor has served on various ships, including the USS JOHN F. KENNEDY (CV 67), two tours on the USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN 73) in Norfolk and Yokosuka, and the USS RONALD REAGAN (CVN 76), also Forward Deployed in Japan. His shore duty commands includes the Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Detachment (AIMD) in Jacksonville, the Fleet Readiness Center Southwest North Island, and the AIMD in Atsugi, Japan. He has also served as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader at the Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Detachment in Atsugi, Japan. His last tour was on the USS DEXTROUS (MCM 13) in Bahrain, where he served as the Command Senior Chief.

He was selected for the Command Senior Chief program in 2023 and graduated from the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course class 22050 and the Navy's Senior Enlisted Academy (The Red Pirate League, Class 240) in 2021. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Information System Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus and a Master's Degree in Business Administration for International Business from Liberty University.

During his distinguished naval career, he has earned the Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist, the Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, the Enlisted Information Warfare Specialist and the Master Training Specialist. His personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards), the Good Conduct Medal (six awards), the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, as well as other personal, unit and campaign awards.
