Command Senior Chief Trice is a native of St. Louis, Missouri, graduating from Lindbergh High School in May 2002. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy as an Undesignated Airman and departed for Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes IL in July 2002.

His sea tours included USS Wasp (LHD-1), FRC West SeaOpDet, HSC-25 (Island Knights), HSM-51 (WARLORDS) and HSM-77 (SABERHAWKS) where he served as Quality Assurance Supervisor (QAS) and Maintenance Control Supervisor. Senior Chief Trice’s sea and shore tours have included multiple deployments in the Second, Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Fleet areas of responsibilities.  

His shore duty assignments include Fire & Emergency Services NAS Sigonella Sicily, AIMD Atsugi Japan, where he qualified as a DOD Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and CFSWP Lemoore where he served as Wing Material Condition Inspector (MCI) and Maintenance Program Assessment (MPA) Lead Inspector. In June 2024 he reported to his current assignment as Command Senior Chief onboard USS CHIEF (MCM-14) in Sasebo, Japan. 

Senior Chief Trice is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 260/Brown Group) and CMC/COB Course Class 24090. 

Senior Chiefs awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards) Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards) Humanitarian Service Medal (three awards) North Atlantic Treaty Organization Medal, Coast Guard Meritorious Unit Commendation award and various other campaign and unit awards.
