Command Master Chief Rose M. Thibodeaux, a Louisiana native, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in September 2001 and completed Recruit Training Command and Seaman Apprenticeship Training in Great Lakes, Ill. She began her career as an undesignated seaman. She became an Operations Specialist in 2003 and was selected for the Command Senior Enlisted Leader Program in 2022. She holds a Liberal Arts associate degree from St. Leo University and is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 240/Orange).
CMDCM has served in multiple sea duty assignments, including USS Germantown (LSD 42), USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49), USS Curtis Wilbur (DDG 54), as an Individual Augment to Special Operations Command Central in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and New Dawn, two tours with Command Seventh Fleet Staff aboard USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) as the Maritime Operation Center Departmental Leading Chief Petty Officer and Deputy Joint Interface Control Officer, and USS Santa Barbara (LCS 32), as Command Senior Chief.
Her previous shore tours include service as an Intel and Special Project Analyst at Joint Inter Agency Task Force South (JIATF-S) in Key West, Fl; the Region Legal Service Office Administrative Officer in Yokosuka, Japan; N6 Departmental Leading Chief Petty Officer in Yokosuka, Japan; and as exercise and operations Departmental Leading Chief Petty Officer and Senior Enlisted Advisor at Naval Special Warfare Command Group ONE, in San Diego, Calif.
She currently serves as Command Master Chief aboard USS Curtis Wilbur (DDG 54).
CMDCM Thibodeaux is the recipient of the Navy Commendation Medal (4 awards), the Joint Service Commendation Medal, and various other personal and unit awards.
