CDR Corwin J. Hardy

Commander Hardy is a native of Orange, CA. He graduated from Oregon State University with degrees in Political Science and Education and commissioned via the NROTC program in 2008. He is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program and qualified Nuclear Engineering Officer in 2014. He later earned his master’s degree in National Security Affairs at the Naval Postgraduate School in 2015.

At sea, CDR Hardy served as the Main Propulsion Assistant in USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75), where he deployed twice, and Operations Officer in USS McFaul (DDG 74). As a division officer, CDR Hardy was the 1 Plant Reactor Electrical Division Officer in USS Nimitz (CVN 68) and the Gunnery Officer in USS Momsen (DDG 92).

Ashore, CDR Hardy served as the Section Head for Joint Doctrine, J7 at NATO Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum, The Netherlands and Surface Nuclear Community Manager at Navy Personnel Command.

CDR Hardy’s personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal and various other unit and personal awards.
