LCDR Timothy Woyma

Executive Officer, USS Savannah (LCS 28) Gold Crew

07 January 2025 LCDR Woyma is a native of Willoughby, Ohio. He graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor of Arts in Diplomacy & Foreign Affairs and received his commission upon completion of Officer Candidate School. Additionally, he has a Master of Arts in Defense and Strategic Studies from the US Naval War College.

At sea, he served as Communications Officer in USS Anzio (CG 68), Training Officer for Commander, Destroyer Squadron TWO SIX, and as Operations Officer and Plans and Tactics Officer in USS Laboon (DDG 58).

Ashore, LCDR Woyma served as Assistant Director of Military Training, and Student Control Director at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes and as an instructor at Naval Leadership and Ethics Command Dam Neck.

His awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3rd award), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2nd award), and various campaign and service awards. He is a recipient of the US Navy League Gallery-Renken Award for inspirational leadership and the Naval War College’s College of Distance Education Director’s Award for academic excellence.
