LCDR Monconjay T. Woewiyu

EXECUTIVE OFFICER, AFLOAT TRAINING GROUP WESTERN PACIFIC (ATGWP)

28 February 2025 Lieutenant Commander Monconjay Thomas Woewiyu Sr. is a native of East Orange, New Jersey and attended Centenary University, graduating in 2007 with bachelor’s in communications. He received his commission via Officer Candidate School, Newport, Rhode Island in 2010. He is designated as an 1110 - surface warfare officer (SWO). He earned a master’s degree in Cybersecurity Policy and Management from the University of Maryland University College in December of 2017.

He currently serves as the Executive Officer aboard Afloat Training Group Western Pacific in Yokosuka, Japan. Previous afloat assignments include N5 / N7 Department Head aboard COMDESRON 7, leading multinational exercises & maritime fires & effects, Plans & Tactics Officer and Combat Systems Officer aboard USS AMERICA (LHA 6), Damage Control Assistant aboard MCM Crew Swerve and USS DEVASTATOR (MCM 6), and Electronic Warfare Officer aboard USS CURTS (FFG 38). During these tours he deployed to 4th Fleet in support of OPERATION MARTILLO (countering narcotics), to 5th Fleet, conducting mine countermeasure operations in the Arabian Gulf, and to 7th Fleet, conducting multi-domain operations in the South China Sea. 

His served ashore duties as the Offensive Cyber Operations Mission Lead and the Executive Assistant to the Deputy Director of Future Operations (J35) at U.S. Cyber Command in Fort Meade, MD.
