A native of Long Island, New York, Master Chief Talbot enlisted in the Navy in February 2004 and attended Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes. Upon completion, he attended Machinist Mate Nuclear Field ‘A’ School and Nuclear Power School in Goose Creek, South Carolina, followed by training at the Nuclear Power Training Unit (S8G) in Ballston Spa, New York.


Master Chief Talbot’s sea assignments include operational tours on the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) in Norfolk, Virginia, USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) in San Diego, California, and as the Reactor Department Master Chief onboard USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) in Norfolk, Virginia. He has completed 9 deployments to the 5th, 6th, and 7th fleet AORs.

Master Chief Talbot’s shore assignments include Reactor Principles instructor and Graduation and Transition Hold Officer at Naval Nuclear Power Training Command in Goose Creek, South Carolina, COMNAVAIRPAC N9 Staff as Reactor Mechanical and Propulsion Technical Assistant in San Diego, California, and COMNAVAIRPAC N9 Staff as the Senior Enlisted Leader in Yokosuka, Japan. During this tour, he was selected to the Command Senior Enlisted Leader program.

Master Chief Talbot reported onboard USS McCampbell (DDG 85) in May 2025. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nuclear Engineering Technology from Excelsior University and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Emergency Management from Columbia Southern University. He is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy and the CMC/COB Course. His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (5 awards), the Navy and Marine Core Achievement Medal (4 awards), and various service and campaign awards. He is qualified Master Training Specialist.
