CMDCS Jones is a native of and was raised in Deland, Florida. He attended basic training in Great Lakes, Illinois in August 31, 2004.
OSSR Jones completed OS “A” School in Dam Neck, VA and reported on March 18, 2005 to Sasebo, Japan. He served aboard Fort McHenry and USS Tortuga. He was accepted into Special Programs as an LCAC Navigator candidate on March 18, 2009.
After graduation from LCAC Navigator School, OS2 returned to Sasebo and reported to ACU 5 Detachment Western Pacific Alpha on December 02, 2009. On August 01, 2012, he became a plank owner of Naval Beach Unit Seven (NBU 7), the one and only unit of its kind and remained there until his transfers to Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Pacific April 18, 2014.
During his time there he obtained qualification as a Command Duty Officer and Master Training Specialist. After 18 months of service, OS1 was released from instructor duty to fill a critically undermanned Navigator billet back at NBU 7 on December 15, 2015. On September 15, 2016, he was selected for Chief Petty Officer. In June 2018 OSC completed LCU Craftmaster school, earned his Craftmaster Pin, and filled various roles ranging from DLCPO to Patrol OIC.
In January 2022, he was hand selected to fill COMPHIBRON ELEVEN (CPR 11) N3 Operations DLCPO position, promoted to Senior Chief Petty Officer, and assumed the role of Senior Enlisted Leader, laying the foundation for CPR 11’s First Command Master Chief. OSCS was selected to CMDCS MAR2025 and reported for his first tour as CDMCS for USS Patriot MAY2025.
CMDCS Jones is authorized to wear the Navy Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medal (three awards), Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Information Warfare Specialist, and Craftmaster Pin.
