Executive Officer, USS Kansas City (LCS 22)

24 July 2025 A native of Leavenworth, Kansas, Lieutenant Commander Hodge graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor Degree in Sports Medicine, receiving his commission through Officer Candidate School in 2010. Additionally, he received a Masters Certificate in Space Systems Operations from Naval Post Graduate School in 2020. His first Division Officer tour was aboard USS PORT ROYAL (CG 73) as the Combat Information Center Officer and deployed to 5th Fleet in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. His second Division Officer tour was aboard USS INDEPENDENCE (LCS 22) as ship’s Navigator, where he deployed to 4th Fleet. As a Department Head, he served as Combat Systems Officer and Operations Officer aboard USS KANSAS CITY (LCS 22) from 2018 to 2022.

For his first shore tour, LCDR Hodge served as Staff Operations and Plans Officer at Commander, Pacific Fleet Headquarters in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Following his Department Head tours, he served as the N72 Director and instructor at Mariner Skills Training Center Pacific (MSTCPAC) in San Diego, CA, where he oversaw the Littoral Combat Ship, Junior Officer of the Deck (JOOD) course of instruction.

Lieutenant Commander Hodge is authorized to wear the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (5), Navy Achievement Medal (1), and various personal and unit awards.
