CMDCM Patrick H. Duffy

Command Master Chief, USS Rushmore (LSD 47)

29 August 2025 Command Master Chief Patrick H. Duffy, a native of Bloomingdale, Illinois, graduated from Lake Park High School in 2005. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy on January 24, 2006, and completed basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, followed by Damage Controlman “A” School at Training Support Center, Great Lakes.

His sea duty assignments include USS Nashville (LPD 13), Norfolk, Virginia; USS Roosevelt (DDG 80), Mayport, Florida; USS Sirocco (PC 6), Bahrain; Plankowner of USS John Finn (DDG 113), San Diego, California; and USS Green Bay (LPD 20), Sasebo, Japan. He also served as Command Senior Enlisted Leader aboard USS Pioneer (MCM 9), Sasebo, Japan. During these assignments, he deployed to the Arabian Gulf, Mediterranean Sea, and Pacific Ocean. Ashore, he served at Naval Air Station Key West, Florida, and Afloat Training Group Western Pacific.

Master Chief Duffy reported to USS Rushmore (LSD 47) in August 2025. He is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 255) and the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course (Class 24080). He has earned the Afloat Training Specialist and Master Training Specialist designations.

He holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Fire Science from Purdue University. His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards), Navy Good Conduct Medal (five awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
