CDR Jordan White

Commanding Officer, USS Higgins (DDG 76)

24 August 2025 Commander Jordan White began his career at the Naval Academy Preparatory School in May 2003 and subsequently graduated from the US Naval Academy in 2008 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Systems Engineering. He also holds a Master’s of Science Degree in Systems Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA.

His previous sea duty assignments include Electronic Warfare Officer and Communications Officer in USS COWPENS (CG 63) and Damage Control Assistant in USS MUSTIN (DDG 89), both Forward Deployed to Seventh Fleet in Yokosuka, Japan. He went on to serve as Navigator in USS REUBEN JAMES (FFG 57), once again deploying to the Seventh Fleet and decommissioned her in August 2013. CDR White served as Chief Engineer in USS MUSTIN (DDG 89) in Yokosuka, Japan, and stayed-on to serve as Combat Systems Officer.

He went on to serve as N4 Materiel and Supply Officer at Destroyer Squadron NINE in Everett, WA, and was deployed in support of both Fifth and Seventh Fleet operations in USS NIMITZ (CVN 68). CDR White went on to serve as Officer in Charge of ATGWP Detachment Sasebo in March 2022. He detached in July 2023 to report as Executive Officer of USS DEWEY (DDG 105) in Yokosuka, Japan from February, 2024 to May, 2025. He took command of USS HIGGINS (DDG 76) on August 24, 2025.
