LCDR Kyla M. Zenan

EXECUTIVE OFFICER, USS CURTIS WILBUR (DDG 54)

02 September 2025 LCDR Kyla Zenan is a native of Alaska. In 2010 she received a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana. She was commissioned in 2010 through Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island.

Her sea assignments include Staff Director and Operations Officer at Destroyer Squadron 28; Combat Systems and Weapons Officer on USS MITSCHER (DDG 57); Fire Control Officer on USS MICHAEL MURPHY (DDG 112); Auxiliaries Officer and Security Officer on USS BLUE RIDGE (LCC 19).

Her shore assignments include Surface Warfare Officer School; Fellow in SECNAV Tours with Industry at Marotta Controls; Assistant Current Operations Officer at Command Navy Region South East.

LCDR Zenan has a Master’s of Professional Studies in Organizational Development and Change from Pennsalvania State University. Her personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals and various other service and unit awards.
