CDR Camiolo is a surface warfare officer and native of Doylestown, Pennsylvania. She commissioned through the United States Naval Academy in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Ocean Engineering. She holds a Master’s in Defense Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College.
At sea for her division officer tours, she served as Electronic Warfare Officer, Main Propulsion Officer, and fleeted up to Navigator aboard USS DENVER (LPD 9). As a department head, she served as Operations Officer and Plans & Tactics Officer aboard USS JOHN S. McCAIN (DDG 56) and USS NEW ORLEANS (LPD 18).
Her ashore assignments include instructor of Navigation and Seamanship at the United States Naval Academy, Deputy Executive Assistant for the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Expeditionary Warfare (OPNAV N95), and Sea Coordinator for Surface Warfare Assignments (PERS-41) at Navy Personnel Command.
Commander Camiolo’s personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (with Gold Stars), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (with Gold Stars), and multiple unit and service awards.
