Executive Officer, USS Manchester (LCS 14)

A native of Houston, TX, Cmdr. Jeremy Thurman graduated and commissioned from Texas A&M University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. He also holds a Master of Science in Operations Management from the University of Arkansas.

At sea, he has served aboard USS William P. Lawrence (DDG 110); on USS Halsey (DDG 97); on USS Higgins (DDG 76); and as the Future Operations Officer (N5) at Destroyer Squadron 9 aboard USS Nimitz (CVN 68). He has deployed to the U.S. Third, Fifth, and Seventh Fleet areas of operation.

Ashore, he served at Naval Personnel Command (PERS-41) in Millington, TN as a Junior Officer Detailer. He also attended the Naval War College in Newport, RI earning a Master of Arts in Defense and Strategic Studies.His decorations include the Navy Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various unit and service awards.
