LCDR Rory Schneider, a native of the Pacific Northwest, earned a B.S. in Applied Science and Engineering from Seattle Pacific University and received his commission from Officer Candidate School.

LCDR Schneider’s sea duty assignments include Repair Division and 1st Division officer in USS JUNEAU (LPD 10) and as Operations Officer in USS CHIEF (MCM 14) and USS DEXTROUS (MCM 13) with a crew comprised entirely of Individual Augmentees, and USS BLUE RIDGE (LCC 19).

Ashore, LCDR Schneider attended Georgetown University and earned a Masters in Business Administration. He also served as Weapons Officer at MINE COUNTERMEASURES DIVISION THREE ONE, Port Operations Officer in Charge at Naval District Washington, and as an operational planner at Naval Forces Europe.

He reported in June 2019 to USS GREEN BAY (LPD 20) in Sasebo, Japan as Executive Officer.

His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (3 awards), Navy Achievement Medal (2 awards), and various unit and service awards.
