Commander Seeger is a native of Taylor Lake Village, Texas. Commissioned through Auburn University NROTC in 2003, he holds a Masters of Arts in National Security Strategic Studies from the Naval War College where he participated in Halsey Alfa Group and a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from Auburn University.
Afloat, Commander Seeger served his Division Officer tours onboard USS REUBEN JAMES (FFG 57) as 1st Lieutenant, Repair Officer, and Electrical Officer eventually “fleeting up” to serve as Damage Control Assistant. As a Division Officer he deployed once in support of counter-narcotics operations in 4th Fleet and once in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom to the Horn of Africa and Arabian Gulf.
As a Department Head he served onboard USS JOHN S. McCAIN (DDG 56) as Weapons Officer and Combat Systems Officer operating as part of the Forward Deployed Naval Forces in Yokosuka, Japan.
Ashore, Commander Seeger served as Flag Aide to the President of the Naval War College and served an Individual Augmentation as a United Nations Military Observer in Liberia. He also has served as the Flag Secretary to Commander, SEVENTH FLEET, permanently embarked aboard USS BLUE RIDGE (LCC 19) and as Assistant Captain Detailer and Junior Officer Sea Coordinator at PERS-41 in Millington, TN.
