Cmdr. Christopher W. Wolff is a 2002 graduate of Carnegie Mellon University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Managerial Economics. He holds a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Oklahoma and a Master’s Degree in Defense and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College.

At sea, he served as main propulsion division officer aboard USS Leyte Gulf (CG 55) deploying in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom; as weapons officer and executive officer for Patrol Coastal (PC) Crew Golf deploying aboard USS Chinook (PC 9) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom; chief engineer aboard USS Donald Cook (DDG 75), deploying as part of the Standing NATO Maritime Group Two (SNMG2) to the Horn of Africa, as chief engineer aboard USS Anzio (CG 68), deploying in support of Commander Task Force (CTF) 151 counter piracy operations. Most recently, he served as Executive Officer aboard USS Lake Erie (CG 70), deploying in support of CTF 70 in the Western Pacific, Enforcement Coalition Cell operations and Commander Seventh Fleet (C7F) Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) tasking.

His staff assignments include Operations Officer and Executive Officer for Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit One; Commander’s Action Group and Flag Aide to Commander, Naval Surface Force Atlantic; and readiness portfolio manager in the Office of Legislative Affairs.

His current assignment is Commanding Officer of USS Mobile (LCS 26) Blue Crew.

His personal awards include the Navy Meritorious Service Medal (three awards) and Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards). He served on teams awarded the Meritorious Unit Commendation, Coast Guard Meritorious Unit Commendation with Operational Distinguishing Device and Battle E, and various campaign and unit awards.
