CDR Terence Coleman was a native of San Antonio, TX. He spent a year at the Naval Academy Prep School before receiving an appointment to the United States Naval Academy where he graduated with a B.S. in Economics in 2002.

His initial sea duty assignments were in Norfolk, VA aboard USS SAIPAN (LHA 2) where he served as Electrical Officer and Main Propulsion Division Officer and aboard USS WASP (LHD 1) where he served as the Weapons Officer and Information Systems Officer. His first Department Head tour was aboard USS WINSTON S. CHURCHILL (DDG 81) where he served as the Chief Engineer. His second Department Head tour was as an Engineering Assessor at Engineering Assessments Pacific in San Diego, CA. He also served as Amphibious and Littoral Combat Ship Operations Officer at Carrier Strike Group Fifteen (CSG-15) in Coronado, CA.  His most recent sea duty assignment was as Executive Officer in USS JACKSON (LCS 6) and USS OMAHA (LCS 12) respectively.

CDR Coleman's tours ashore include Protocol Officer at United States Central Command and now serving as the Chief Staff Officer and Director of Training for Afloat Training Group, Pacific.

CDR Coleman completed Phase I of his Joint Professional Military Education and earned a masters degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College in Newport, RI.

CDR Coleman's awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy Commendation and Achievement Medals, and various unit and service awards.
