A native of Denver, Colorado, Cmdr. Stacy M. Wuthier enlisted in the Navy in 1995. She graduated from the University of Washington in 2000 and commissioned through Officer Candidate School upon completion of the Nuclear Enlisted Commissioning Program. She earned her Master of Engineering Management degree from Old Dominion University.

Wuthier's sea duty assignments include duty on a cruiser, a frigate, and aircraft carriers in both the Atlantic and Pacific fleets. During these tours, she deployed to the 5th and 7th Fleet areas of operation. She served as combat information center officer aboard USS Chancellorsville (CG 62); reactor controls division officer aboard USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71); operations officer aboard USS Vandegrift (FFG 48); main propulsion assistant aboard USS George Washington (CVN 73); and reactor training assistant aboard USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78). She most recently served as executive officer aboard USS Jackson (LCS 6) Blue Crew.

Ashore, she has served as personnel exchange program officer in the operations directorate for Commander, Italian Maritime Forces, Taranto Italy; Commander, Naval Air Force Atlantic as USS Gerald R. Ford Class liaison; and the Joint Staff J7 as the assistant operations and training officer for the deployable training division.

Her current assignment is commanding officer, USS Jackson (LCS 6) Blue Crew.

Wuthier's decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards) and multiple unit commendations.
