A native of Goldendale, Washington and a 2005 graduate of the University of Arizona, Cmdr. Michael Winslow was commissioned through NROTC via the Seaman to Admiral 21 program (nuclear option).  He earned his Master of Science in Mathematics from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.

Winslow’s sea tours include serving as First Lieutenant aboard USS Shoup (DDG 86); Reactor Mechanical Division Officer aboard USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76); Combat Systems Officer and Chief Engineer aboard USS Somerset (LPD 25).  He most recently served as the Reactor Training Assistant aboard USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78).

Ashore, he served at the Electrical Repair Shop 51, NAVIMFACPACNORWEST; as a staff instructor, MARF Prototype, Ballston Spa, NY; as the N5 at Naval Base San Diego; as the Chief Staff Officer, Zumwalt Squadron One; and as the Chief Staff Officer, Surface Development Squadron One.

His current assignment is Executive Officer, USS Jackson (LCS 6) Gold Crew. 

His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards), and various other personal, unit and campaign awards.
