Command Master Chief, USS John Finn (DDG 113)

15 April 2019   Master Chief Petty Officer Jason Thibodeaux is a native of Chauvin, Louisiana and graduated from South Terrebonne High School in Bourg, LA. He enlisted in the Navy in 1992 and attended boot camp in Great Lakes, Illinois. After completing Hospital Corpsman “A” schools in Great Lakes, Illinois he reported to Naval Hospital Jacksonville, Florida.

Master Chief Thibodeaux’s sea duty assignments include VF-143 where he deployed on USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER (CVN 69) and USS JOHN F. KENNEDY (CV 66). He also served onboard USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN 73) and USS JOHN C. STENNIS (CVN 74).

Ashore Master Chief Thibodeaux’s assignments include Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune, Navy Medicine Operational Training Center det NAMI, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, and Naval Personnel Command.

He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Management from Trident University in 2008 and he earned his Master’s degree in Emergency and Disaster Management from Trident University is a graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy class 172 (Green), Command Leadership COB/CMC Course class 19070.

Master Chief Thibodeaux reported aboard and assumed duties as Command Master Chief at USS JOHN FINN (DDG 113) in April 2019.

Master Chief Thibodeaux’s awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (nine awards), and various campaign, service, and unit awards.
