Past Command Senior Chief, USS Kansas City (LCS 22)

30 June 2020 A native of and raised in Miamisburg, Ohio, Senior Chief Hyatt enlisted in the United States Navy in May 2000. Upon completion of basic training, he reported to Electronic Warfare Technician (EW) “A” and “C” schools in Pensacola, Florida.  He holds a MBA in Organization Leadership from Liberty University and is a graduate on the Senior Enlisted Academy Class 209 (Red) and Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course (Class 193).  

Senior Chief Hyatt’s sea assignments include USS Cape St. George (CG 71), USS McFaul (DDG 74), USS Laboon (DDG 58), USS Spruance (DDG 111), and USS Lake Champlain (CG 57).

His shore assignments include Navy Information Operations Command (NAVIOCOM) Colorado, two tours with Afloat Training Group, San Diego, and Executive Assistant to the Naval Forces Europe, Naval Forces Africa Fleet Master Chief.  Senior Chief Hyatt also volunteered for an Individual Augmentee as an Electronic Warfare Officer as part of Joint Composite Crew Squadron One (JCCS-1) serving with the 1-82nd Airborne Division.  

His current assignment is Command Senior Chief of USS Kansas City (LCS 22).

He is the recipient of the Bronze Star, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards) and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
