Master Chief Lohrke was born in Athens, TX, graduated from Lovelady High School in 1992, and entered the U.S. Navy later that same year. He attended recruit training and Hospital Corpsman “A” School in Great Lakes, IL.
His duty assignments as a Hospital Corpsman include: Naval Hospital Millington, TN; Second Marine Division at Camp Lejeune, NC; National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD; and Marine Corps Officer Candidate School in Quantico, VA. In 2001, he attended Intelligence Specialist “A” School in Dam Neck, VA, and attained the rate of Intelligence Specialist.
Operational assignments in Information Warfare include: USS HARRY S TRUMAN (CVN-75); Joint Task Force Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; Navy Expeditionary Combat Forces Central / Commander, Task Force FIVE SIX; Task Force TROY-North / Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit ONE; and USS JOHN C. STENNIS (CVN-74).
Shore assignments include: instructor duty at Surface Warfare Officers School (SWOS); Joint Intelligence Operations Center Europe (JIOCEUR) Analytic Center (JAC), in Molesworth, England; and Nimitz OPINTEL Center in Washington, DC.
Master Chief Lohrke is a 2012 Dean’s List graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 165-Gray), a 2017 graduate of the COB/CMC course (Class 166), and holds a Bachelor of Science in National Security from Excelsior College. Master Chief Lohrke is qualified as a Surface Warfare Specialist, Aviation Warfare Specialist, Expeditionary Warfare Specialist, Fleet Marine Force Warfare Specialist, and Information Warfare Specialist. His personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Army Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, and Navy Achievement Medal (five awards) as well as numerous unit and campaign awards.
Command Master Chief Lohrke is currently serving as the Command Master Chief on USS SHOUP (DDG 86) homeported in Everett, Washington.
