Command Master Chief Lynch is a native of Woodbridge, Virginia and graduated from Osbourn Park Senior High School. In June 1991, he enlisted in the United States Navy and completed Recruit Training and Radioman class “A” school in San Diego, California. Command Master Chief Lynch’s shore duty assignments include tours at Navy Recruiting District Kansas City in Kansas City, MO, Navy Marine Corps Intranet Detachment San Diego, and Combined Joint Task Force, Horn of Africa.

Command Master Chief Lynch’s sea duty assignments include tours on USS FORT FISHER (LSD 40), USS PEARL HARBOR (LSD 52), and USS NIMITZ (CVN 68).

He attended the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 138/Green) in 2008. While assigned aboard USS NIMITZ, Command Master Chief Lynch was selected for the Command Senior Chief program and went on to attend the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course (Class 62).

His tours as a Command Senior Chief and Command Master Chief included assignments to Mine Countermeasure Crew CONSTANT, serving onboard USS WARRIOR (MCM 10), USS DEXTROUS (MCM 13), and USS CHIEF (MCM 14), USS MAKIN ISLAND (LHD 8) and aboard USS SOMERSET (LPD 25) where he is a Plankowner.

Command Master Chief Lynch is currently assigned to Afloat Training Group San Diego as the Command Master Chief.

His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Commendation Medal, Navy Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards) and various campaign and service medals.
