Past Command Master Chief, USS John S. McCain (DDG 56)

01 March 2021 Command Master Chief Moise is serving as USS JOHN S. MCCAIN (DDG 56) Command Senior Enlisted Leader (CSEL).  Moise was a native of Haiti and grew up in Miami, FL.  He reported to Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, IL in June 1996.  Started his career as an Undesignated Airman, promoted to Aviation Storekeeper 3^rd Class in 1998 and Master Chief in 2020.  He completed his graduate studies in Logistics & Supply Chain Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, attended both the Senior Enlisted Academy and the CSEL course in Newport, RI.

At sea, he served consecutive tours as a Material Control Clerk at HSL-51 and VRC-30 Detachment FIVE in Atsugi, Japan.  He was twice deployed aboard the USS KITTY HAWK (CV 63).  Served at Destroyer Squadron FIFTY in Manama, Bahrain as staff Supply Officer.  His first ship’s company tour started onboard the USS RAMAGE (DDG 61) as Leading Petty Officer and later as Leading Chief of Supply Support division.  In 2014, Moise went back to Naval Aviation with the “Skinny Dragons” of VP-4 at Kaneohe Bay, HI as Material Control Chief.  He completed his first CSEL tour onboard the hospital ship USNS MERCY (T-AH 19), deployed to Los Angeles, CA for the pandemic response to COVID-19.  

Ashore, he served in multiple and diverse logistics support centers at Roosevelt Roads’ Aviation Support Division in Puerto Rico.  He spent two years at Sigonella, Italy with a Defense Logistics Agency’s Depot as Operations Leading Petty Officer.  Later, served as the Supply Chain manager at headquarters, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command Camp Smith, HI.  He last served in his rating as Leading Chief, Aviation Support Division attached to the Hawkeye/Greyhound World Headquarters at Point Mugu, CA.

Master Chief Moise was awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, three Navy Commendation Medals, a Joint Service Achievement Medal, five Navy Achievement Medals, the Military Outstanding Voluntary Service Medal and various other unit awards.
