ACCM(AW/SW) Ronesha Q. Nation is a native of Douglasville, GA, she reported to Recruit Training Command (RTC), Great Lake, Illinois on July 23, 2002. Upon completion of recruit training, she attended Air Traffic Control “A” School at Naval Air Technical Training Center (NATTC) Pensacola, FL and graduated in March 2003. Upon completion of “A” School, she reported to the Navy’s premiere approach control facility, Naval Air Station (NAS) Brunswick, ME as an Airman Recruit
In January 2005, she attended Carrier Air Traffic Control Center (CATCC) School and earned her 6902 Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC) with follow on orders to the USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN 73), homeported in Norfolk, VA.
In May 2008, she attended Journeyman Instructor Training and earned her 9502 NEC. After which she reported to Instructor Duty at NATTC Pensacola, Florida where she taught CATCC, Basic Air Traffic Control Phase I, and Tower Control.
In March 2013, she reported to Pre-Commission Unit AMERICA (LHA-6) as the Leading Chief Petty Officer. She became a Plankowner in 2014 and brought the first America-class amphibious assault ship to life.
In February 2015 she transferred to Fleet Area Control and Surveillance Facility San Diego and served as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader.
In January 2019, she reported to Tactical Air Control Squadron 12 as the Senior Enlisted Leader. Senior Chief Nation has been awarded three Navy Commendation medals, three Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medals, and various personal, campaign and unit awards.
