Master Chief Trouth is a native of Manchester, Jamaica and a 1998 graduate of Evander Childs High School Bronx, NY. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in August 1998 and completed basic training in Great Lakes, IL. He graduated in October 1998 from Airman Apprentice Training Great Lakes, IL.
His sea duty assignments include Fighter Squadron Two One One (VF-211), Virginia Beach VA, USS Anzio (CG-68) Norfolk VA, Costal Riverine Group Two Detachment Bahrain and USS PATRIOT (MCM-7) Sasebo Japan. His shore duty assignments include NAS Oceana Security Virginia Beach VA, NAS Sigonella Security, Sicily Italy, Naval Station Everett Security Everett, Washington and Navy Region Europe, Africa, Southwest Asia, Naples, Italy.
Master Chief Trouth was selected into the Command Program in February 2018 and selected as Command Master Chief in September 2020. A graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy class 212 (Purple), and the Command Master Chief/ Chief of the Boat Course class 18120. Master Chief Trouth holds a Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice from St Leo University and graduate degree from Liberty University in Crisis and Trauma Counseling.
In December 2020, he reported to the USS Curtis Wilbur DDG-54 in Yokosuka, Japan where he currently serves as the Command Master Chief.
His personal awards include the Navy-Marine Corps Commendation Medal (5), the Navy-Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3), Good Conduct Medal (5), and numerous unit, campaign, and service awards.
