Past Acting Command Master Chief, PCU Daniel Inouye (DDG 118)

27 April 2021 Master Chief Riojas, a native of Santa Clara, California, enlisted in the United States Navy in September 1996.  Following completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Illinois, he reported to Naval Training Center Great Lakes where he completed FC “A” school and AEGIS Training Readiness Center, Dahlgren, Virginia where he complete “C” school.
 
Upon graduation, he reported for duty onboard the USS BENFOLD (DDG-65).  His fleet assignments also include USS VALLEY FORGE (CG-50), USS McCAMPBELL (DDG-85), USS LAKE ERIE (CG-70), and USS SPRUANCE (DDG-111).  In addition, Master Chief Riojas completed shore assignments at SIMA San Diego and Navy Recruiting District San Diego, NRS Temecula, Ca.
 
Master Chief Riojas is currently serving as the Acting Command Master Chief and Combat Systems Maintenance Manager onboard PCU DANIEL INOUYE (DDG 118) in Bath, ME.  He holds an Associate’s Degree in Electronics Technology from Coastline College.  Master Chief Riojas is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy Class 190 and has earned his Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist designation.
  
His decorations include Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (5 awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
