Command Senior Chief Damien Brown is a native of Madera, CA, and enlisted in the Navy in May 2001. He completed Recruit Training in Great Lakes, Illinois, followed by Basic Enlisted Submarine School as an undesignated Seaman. He became a Hospital Corpsman in 2003 and was selected for the Command Senior Enlisted Leader Program in 2019. Damien is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 212/Blue) and CMC/COB Course (Class 201).

His sea duty assignments include USS Albany (SSN 753), 3 rd Marine Division, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) and USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71).

His shore tours include Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA; Naval Health Clinic Fort Worth, TX; 1 st Civil Affairs Group, Camp Pendleton, CA; and Naval Medical Center San Diego, CA.

Damien is currently serving as the command senior chief for USS Montgomery (LCS 8) Blue.

He has been awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards, one with valor), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards), Combat Action Ribbon and various other campaign and unit awards. Senior Chief Brown is also the recipient of the prestigious Marine Corps League George William “Doc” Piercy Award, presented by the Commandant of the Marine Corps in 2010 for his outstanding contributions to the Marine Corps.
