Command Senior Chief Terry Loeffelholz is a native of Dubuque, Iowa and a 1993 graduate of Dubuque Senior High School.  He entered the Navy through the Delayed Entry Program and completed basic training in 1998. Loeffelholz is a graduate of the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat (CMC/COB) course, Class 200, and the Senior Enlisted Academy.

At sea, he served tours aboard USS Fort Fisher (LSD 40), USS Princeton (CG 59) and USS Antietam (CG 54). During his time at sea, he deployed in support of operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.

Ashore, he served at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois as a recruit division commander (RDC). He was then selected to the Command Senior Chief/Command Master Chief program in 2018.

His current assignment is command senior chief of USS Montgomery (LCS 8) Gold crew.

His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards) and various unit awards.
