CDR Chad Bibler is a native of Colorado Springs, CO. He received his commission and Bachelor of Science Degree from the United States Merchant Marine Academy in 2001.
CDR Bibler’s sea tours include serving as the First Lieutenant and Electrical Officer on USS John L Hall (FFG 32). Surface Operations Officer with Expeditionary Strike Group THREE. As a Department Head, he served on USS Howard (DDG 83) and USS Bunker Hill (CG 52) as the Operations Officer. Post Department Head, he served as the OIC of Assault Craft Unit ONE. He served most recently as the Damage Control Assistant onboard USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70).
His shore tours include serving as Assistant Operations Officer and Training Liaison Officer with Afloat Training Group Pacific San Diego, Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff of the Commander’s Action Group for Commander Naval Surface Force Pacific, and Chief of Fleet Certifications for Commander THIRD Fleet.
He received his Master’s of Science in Global Leadership from the University of San Diego in 2007. His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, US Coast Guard Special Operations, with various unit and campaign awards.
