CDR Jamie Delcore, a native of New Franken, Wisconsin, enlisted in the Navy as a CTISA and was assigned to the Naval Security Group Activity. During his tour, he earned a BA in History and graduated from the University of Maryland in May, 2000. He was then commissioned in November 2001 through Officer Candidate School and subsequently attended flight training in Pensacola, FL, San Antonio, TX, and Jacksonville, FL prior to reporting to his first operational sea tour.
CDR Delcore’s initial Fleet assignment was with the “World Watchers” of Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron ONE (VQ-1), NAS Whidbey Island, WA from November 2003 to February 2007. During this tour, he held the positions of Public Affairs Officer, Detachment Coordination Officer, NFO NATOPS Officer, and Assistant Tactics Department Head. While assigned to VQ-1, he completed eight detachments to the PACOM and CENTCOM AORs, and qualified as a Senior Evaluator, Mission Commander, Fleet NATOPS Evaluator and NFO NATOPS Instructor and was awarded the 2006 Naval Flight Officer of the Year by Commander Patrol and Reconnaissance Wing Ten (COMPATRECONWING 10).
In February 2007, CDR Delcore reported to the “Pro’s Nest” of Patrol and Reconnaissance Squadron Thirty (VP-30) at NAS Jacksonville, Florida as a VQ NFO FRS Instructor. During his assignment, he served as the Communications Officer, VQ Training Officer, Fleet NATOPS Evaluator, and as a Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI). He also earned an MBA from the University of Florida in April 2009.
CDR Delcore reported in October 2009 as the Flag Lieutenant to Commander, Carrier Strike Group Five / Commander, Task Force Seventy aboard USS George Washington (CVN-73) in Yokosuka, Japan where he made two WESTPAC deployments.
CDR Delcore then spent 12 months in Brussels, Belgium to attend the Belgian Royal Military Academy. He earned a Master of Science in Political and Military studies in July 2012.
In November 2012, CDR Delcore joined the “Wizards” of Special Projects Patrol Squadron Two (VPU-2) for his Department Head Tour. He has served as the Assistant Administrative Officer, Configurations Officer and Operations Officer.
Following his Department Head tour, CDR Delcore reported to the Pentagon and served on the OPNAV Staff as the N2N6F22 / N980M Assistant Requirements Officer for SPA and EP-3.
CDR Delcore reported to TACRON ELEVEN (VTC-11) as Executive Officer in April 2019, and is currently Commanding Officer.
CDR Delcore has flown over 2000 hours in the P-3/EP-3. He has been awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, Strike/Flight Air Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, and numerous unit and campaign awards.
