CMDCS Blake R. Wohl

Past COMMAND SENIOR CHIEF, USS OAKLAND (LCS 24) GOLD CREW

02 September 2021 Command Senior Chief Blake R. Wohl is a native of Burien, Washington. He joined the United States Navy and attended Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois in February of 2000. After graduation, he reported to Gunner’s Mate “A” School in Great Lakes, Illinois. He graduated the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 228) and the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Leadership School in December of 2019.

His sea duty assignments include serving as a Gunner’s Mate Maintenance Technician aboard USS Thorn (DD 988); Combat Gunnery Leading Petty Officer aboard USS Sampson (DDG 102); and Weapons Department Leading Chief Petty Officer aboard USS Dewey (DDG 105). 

His shore duty assignments include Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron Five, Navy Munitions Command Detachment Point Loma, and Center for Surface Combat Systems Detachment West. 

His current assignment is Command Senior Chief of USS Oakland (LCS 24) Gold Crew.

His personal awards include the George Sirian Meritorious Leadership Award, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
