Senior Chief Ross is a native of Idaho Falls, Idaho. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1999 out of Boise, Idaho where he attended Recruit Basic Training in Great Lakes, IL. and immediately attended Seaman ATD School.  He entered the Navy as an Undesignated Seaman and during his first assignment he chose to become a Boatswain’s Mate. In January 2021, he was selected into the Command Senior Chief program.

Fleet assignments include: USS Bridge (AOE-10), Bremerton WA; USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63), Yokosuka JP; USS Frank Cable (AS-40), Agana GU; USS Mustin (DDG-89), Yokosuka JP; USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76), Yokosuka JP;  USS America (LHA-6), Sasebo JP; and was selected as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader for USS Warrior (MCM-10), Sasebo JP in SEP 2021.  

Ashore:  He served at SFWD, Strike Fighter Wing Detachment, Fallon NV; and NBPL Naval Base Point Loma, San Diego CA.

Senior Chief Ross has been blessed with a wonderful wife of thirteen years, Mari, and three exceptional children Miley, Mia and Masato.

His awards include, (2)Navy Commendation Medal, (5)Navy Marine Corp Achievement Medal, and various unit and campaign awards.  Senior Enlisted Academy (SEA) graduate class 217 (Gold) in Sept 2018 and CMC/COB graduate 21130 in Sept 2021.
