A native of Aiken, South Carolina, Senior Chief Hutto began his military career on 24 February 1996, serving in the U.S. Army National Guard as a Combat Engineer assigned to Charlie Company, 122nd Engineering Battalion.  Completing his initial service obligation, he entered into naval service on 17 June 1998, completing Navy basic training and Hospital Corpsman “A” School at Great Lakes, IL followed by Field Medical Service School located at Camp Johnson, NC.  

Senior Chief Hutto’s shore tours include: Naval Hospital Beaufort, SC; Naval Branch Health Clinic Kings Bay, GA; and Navy Recruiting District Nashville, TN.  Senior Chief Hutto’s sea duty assignments include: 2d Marine Aircraft Wing (two tours); 2nd Force Service Support Group, 2d Marine Logistics Group, and USS DENVER (LPD-9).  He is currently serving as the Command Senior Chief for USS MIGUEL KEITH (ESB 5) GOLD.  

Senior Chief Hutto is a graduate of the Navy’s Senior Enlisted Academy and Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat course.  He has qualified as an Enlisted Fleet Marine Force Warfare Specialists and Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist.  His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (seven awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards), Army Achievement Medal, and various other unit, service and campaign awards.
