CDR Lauren Johnson

PAST EXECUTIVE OFFICER, USS STOCKDALE (DDG 106)

18 November 2021 Cmdr. Lauren Johnson is from Huntsville, Texas.  A surface warfare officer, she is a 2004 graduate of the United States Naval Academy.  She holds a Master of Arts in Defense and Strategic Studies from the United States Naval War College. 

She served division officer tours as main propulsion officer on USS Tarawa (LHA 1) and training officer in DESRON 23.  As a department head, she served as chief engineer aboard both USS Stockdale (DDG 106) and USS Lake Erie (CG 70).  She has deployed five times to the Indo-Pacific and Arabian Gulf regions participating in Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.

Ashore, she served as schools and training officer at Commander, Surface Forces Pacific, and an instructor at Fleet Anti-Submarine Warfare Center.  Most recently, she served as assistant director and placement officer in the Surface Officer Career Management Division (PERS 41) at Navy Personnel Command.

She reported as executive officer aboard USS Stockdale (DDG 106) in November 2021.

Cmdr. Johnson is the recipient of various service, unit, and personal awards to which she credits to the fine Sailors with whom she has proudly served.
