Senior Chief Baskin is a native of Brooklyn, NY where she graduated from Paul Robeson High School and reported for Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, IL in 1998.

Upon graduation from basic training, she attended Airman Apprenticeship School (ATD), where afterwards she reported to her first command at Helicopter Combat Support Squadron SIX (HC-6) in November 1998 and made the rank of Yeoman 3rd Class.  

Following her duty at HC-6, she reported to Carrier Airborne Command and Control ONE TWO ZERO (VAW 120), Norfolk, Virginia, in January 2001, where she filled the position as CO Secretary and held the duty of Admin Assistant Leading Petty Officer.  She would then go on to report to Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron ONE TWO THREE (VAW 123) in November 2003, filling the duties as Admin ALPO.  During her tour at VAW 123, she made three deployments onboard USS ENTERPRISE (CVN 65) to include a Mediterranean and World cruise, also picked up the rank of Yeoman 2nd Class.  

In April 2007, she reported to European Command, Joint Analysis Center Molesworth, United Kingdom (EUCOM JAC Molesworth) as the Personnel Leading Petty Officer and Admin ALPO, she also advanced to Yeoman 1st Class.  In August 2010, YNC Baskin reported to USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19) as Admin LPO and successfully completed NEC 9190 - Special Security assistant, NEC 9502 – Instructor and NEC 9571 – Safety technician.  During this sea tour, she completed an 11 month Mediterranean deployment as part of the allied efforts in Libya.  

In June 2013, she transferred to Transient Personnel Unit, Norfolk, VA awaiting limited duty orders.  

In July of 2013, she reported Naval Special Warfare Advanced Training Command, Fort Story.  Her next assignment was Commander, Operational Test and Evaluation Force, where served as the Surface Warfare division Admin LPO, Assistant Special Security Officer, 01S/01A/01B/90 divisions Departmental LCPO from 2014-2018 where she was selected to Chief Petty Officer.  

In February 2018, she completed Expeditionary Combat School and then reported Coastal Riverine Group ONE-Detachment Guam as the Administrative Officer and Travel/N1 Department Head; successfully obtained 3MC Inspector (NEC 811A), NEC 9556 (Security Manager), Associates’ degree in Business Management and Master Certificate of Completion in Business Management.  

On July 2020 checked aboard Commander, Amphibious Squadron FIVE where she currently serves as the Senior Enlisted Leader and Administrative Office.

Senior Chief Baskin’s decorations include Joint Service Commendation Medal (1 award), Navy Commendation Medal (2), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (5 awards) Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, and various unit and campaign awards. She has also earned her Aviation Warfare, Surface Warfare and Expeditionary Warfare pin.
